Hello! I’m a family photographer based in Melbourne/Naarm, Australia.
Mavis Jean is not in fact my real name. It’s a hommage to my late Nan, who I got to know mostly through old photographs. The window into the past that photography offers is a big part of why I love it. My real name is Alice and I have a filmmaking background. I love to tell stories through photos. I love details, fleeting moments and big smiles.
